Project Overview

This project involved the complete conversion of a former mattress showroom into a fully functional beauty and wellness centre, located beneath an arched portico at ground floor level in Castellaneta. The client, a young entrepreneur, commissioned a full redesign and fit-out of the 70 sqm space to include dedicated rooms for:

• Makeup and skincare treatments

• Manicure/pedicure

• Waxing (with in-room sink)

• Massage room (with built-in shower)

• Solarium

• Two bathrooms

• Reception/waiting area

• A Salt Therapy Room (Halotherapy), conceived as a unique wellness feature

The intervention included demolition of all internal plasterboard partitions, creation of new rooms, and installation of ventilation, lighting, and plumbing systems tailored to wellness and hygiene standards.

Client Objectives
The main goal was to create a serene, elegant and technically compliant beauty centre in a compact space, with soft lighting and privacy between rooms.
The biggest constraint: fitting a complete programme into 70 sqm, and complying with the landscape protection regulation due to the area’s classification as a Lesser Kestrel conservation zone.
